Where tradition meets modernity

Where tradition meets modernity

Working with stone is a long-term process of yoking the rock – from excavating blocks of stone from a quarry to the very final polishing touch. At every stage, tradition is intertwined with new innovative technologies and the combination of the two leads to the effect of synergy.

The elements we create are also somewhat of a journey across the epochs – from chiseled forms to Baroque sculptures to modern ascetic forms. Being in business for so many years (since 1966), we have learned to understand stone and bring out its essence.

At the confluence of technique and manufactory

At the confluence of technique and manufactory

Capturing the beauty of stone is where enormous machinery meets dexterous human hand. Our manufactory’s creations are a paradox – huge and heavy blocks are turned into fragile and smooth forms. The great hum of a quarry becomes the silence coming from the heart of a fireplace.

To date, shaping a block of stone has been done with simple tools. At this point, however, we have woken up to new technology. Computerization and automation give us the possibility of more effective order processing. We do believe a human hand is irreplaceable, but progress is what sets our goals and that’s why our manufactory is being constantly developed technologically.
